There are two types of accounts - a Header account and a Detail account. A Header account is the total of all the Detail accounts that fall beneath it. For example, The Header account could be described as Income and the Detail accounts may be described as Product Sales, Service Sales and Installation Sales which all have their individual totals, but the Header account has their combined totals.

In the Command Centre click on Card File, then Card List. A window will appear listing All Cards. The Card List is a record of all your Customers, Suppliers, Employees and any Personal people you wish to keep a record of.

Insert the program disk into the CD / DVD-Ram drive. When the welcome screen appears, click install on the product you have purchased.

The Install Shield Wizard will guide you through the program set up process.

A Welcome window will appear - click Next.

The Time Billing option in MYOB is for businesses that charge for their time and could include professions such as Accounting, Consultancy, the Legal profession and Service orientated companies to name a few.

In the Command Centre click on Purchases and then Enter Purchase. A Purchase - New Service format window will appear. The format New Service is used when you are not maintaining inventory. It is used to enter service purchases such as legal fees, electricity, rates, telephone, etc. accounts that fall in one month but are payable in another. This window can also be used for businesses that purchase inventory but do not stock it as it is usually for a specific job and is used immediately.
